Contemporary Cabaret Ensemble Announces Auditions Monday, January 16th, 6-8pm Northside Dance Theater at 7015-17 North Glenwood Avenue, Chicago, ILWanted: Women who have strong singing, acting and movement abilities. We are looking for performers who are able to learn and retain music quickly and have experience singing in both group and solo form. Must be 21 years old to audition.No pay, non-equity and no membership dues. Looking for people who are not only exceptional performers, but who are professional and dedicated to the success of the group.Founded in 2008, this group has performed throughout the Chicago-land area, from Davenport’s Piano Bar to Mayne Stage in Rogers Park. Regular rehearsals are held on Sunday evenings at Northside Dance Theater at 7015-17 North Glenwood Avenue, Chicago, IL.For the audition, participants are asked to bring sheet music (an accompanist will be provided) and prepare a verse and chorus (approximately one minute) from a musical theatre or pop selection.
